Registration letters from NHS England – please respond if you get one

The NHS is carrying out work in Bath, Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire to make sure the patient details on GP lists are accurate.  Letters are being sent to some patients, but not all. If you do receive a letter, please either confirm your details or submit any changes. For more information about this project please visit

Dr Metcalfe

Dr Metcalfe will be leaving the Practice on January 19th 2016. Dr Vicky Stephenson will be taking over from him on 29th February 2016. We wish him all the best for the future.

It is that time of year again.  We will be offering Flu vaccinations for all eligible patients (Click here) in the surgery this year. As last year, we will not be sending letter reminders out, although we will be sending invites via text message, if you would like to take advantage of this please let us know your mobile number.

Please ring or pop into the surgery to make an appointment, although please note the above phone line is going to be busy.

Please can you let us know if you have the Flu vaccination elsewhere or wish to decline this year so we can update your records.  You can either email on or call on 01249 444343 to let us know the date and place of vaccination or that you wish to decline this vaccination.

You may have seen in the media that the Government are insisting that all patients over the age of 75 should have a named GP. We at Rowden Surgery have always had named GPs for ALL our patients and it is gratifying that the whole of primary care in England is starting to catch up.

   Your GP Cares

  This is a campaign led by the British Medical Association with the aim of enabling GPs to improve the service they are able to give to patients.

 If you opt out of Summary Care Record, we will not be able to send your prescription to a pharmacy electronically.  Opting out of this will not stop you from being able to order your prescriptions online.
