DoctorLink

DoctorLink helps you to access the right treatment faster, guiding you on a route to better health and wellbeing. If your condition is high risk, you will be prioritised to see your doctor the same day. Developed by doctors and covering 95% of all conditions, the symptom checker is a service you can trust to improve your health and wellbeing.

DoctorLink will direct you to the most appropriate care available. Registration is simple. Just click on the button below, it will only take a few minutes. Once registered, this tool will ask you a number of questions to help identify your problem. The outcome of your assessment will direct you to the right treatment, whether that be from us, emergency or self care. If your outcome indicates that an appointment is required with us, you can simply click on the "request appointment" button when offered.

We are encouraging all patients to register. Those under the age of 16 are not able to register for DoctorLink themselves, however, a parent/guardian can log in to the service themselves and check the symptoms for the child. Children under the age of 3 should not be put through DoctorLink.

Appointments

circled_dayThe appointments telephone number is available from 8:15am to 5:30pm on 01249 444808.

Appointments, booked in advance, account for three-quarters of the surgery time. If, however, you require an urgent appointment on the day, your name and contact number will be taken by the receptionist and our trained staff will contact you in order to provide either telephone advice or to allocate an appropriate appointment with the duty nurse, your own doctor or the duty doctor.

As the duty doctor changes every day on a rota basis, we cannot always give you the choice of male or female doctors.  However, we are always happy to provide a chaparone when requested.

Please be aware that Blood tests should only be booked if requested by a GP, Nurse or Hospital clinician.

Your SystmOnline login can also be used for booking and cancelling appointments online.

Which Doctor?

The Partners choose to run a personal list service, where you see your own doctor whenever possible, as we believe this allows for greater continuity of medical care. If you need to see a doctor when your own doctor is on study leave or on holiday, you will be able to make an appointment with one of our salaried doctors. Your own doctor will be informed of any medical problems which need following up. This also applies to serious medical problems arising outside surgery hours, when the local on-call co-operative, NHS 111, covers the whole practice.
