Clinical Research

Rowden Surgery has over 20 years of experience in clinical research and enjoys an excellent reputation. The research team consists of Doctors McKibbin and Gaunt, Nurses Joanne Thomas and Gail Haughton and an administrative assistant, Tracey Thrower.

Clinical research is exciting and stimulating for both patients and the research team. It provides an opportunity to be involved in cutting edge medicine and the development of future treatments. The majority of our studies involve new medications in their final stages of development, allowing patients to benefit from superior treatments which are not otherwise currently available e.g. the latest cholesterol lowering medications for people with heart disease, new inhalers for asthmatics and COPD Patients and new medication options for diabetic patients.

All research carried out at the Practice is subject to ethical standards that promote respect for our patients and protect their health and rights.

If you are interested in participating in any trials, then please do not hesitate to contact us for more information. We look forward to hearing from you.
